Presidio Group Realtors History

Ron Redder (Broker/Owner of Presidio Group, REALTORS) obtained his real estate license in 1988 while working toward his MBA at the University of Texas. This was during one of the Austin real estate “busts”. Ron worked as a sales and leasing agent in the University of Texas area. Many properties during that time were owned by the Resolution Trust Company (RTC) and being managed by local real estate companies. It was definitely a struggling market before Austin was consistently on the radar of “#1 Up and Coming Cities”.

After earning his MBA, Ron worked in membership and marketing at the Texas Association of REALTORS. He gained invaluable knowledge and insight to the real estate market. After enjoying working in a professional “9-5” environment, Ron wanted to spread his wings and try to utilize his skill set as an entrepreneur. Ron purchased Presidio Group REALTORS in August of 1995 and ventured out on his own.

Primarily a Property Management Company at the time, Presidio Group REALTORS has since grown into a full boutique brokerage serving all of the Austin area’s real estate needs. The current business model splits evenly the emphasis on sales and leasing while maintaining our history as a flexible, owner-friendly Property Management Company. Some of our current clients have been with us for the entire ride so far!

Ron is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) – a designation held by less than 5% of REALTORS nationwide. It requires experience in addition to the required additional educational components. He has also earned the Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI) designation which includes curriculum in ethics, business management and marketing. Other certifications include the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) for agents focused on working directly with buyer-clients along with the Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation which elevates the level of service for seller-clients. Ron also earned a BBA from Angelo State University and a MBA from The University of Texas-Austin.
